Community Guidelines
The standards that keep FanFicNow safe, respectful, and inclusive for every creator and reader.
Last updated: June 23, 2026
1. Our goal
FanFicNow exists to give fan creators and readers a respectful space to share and discover stories. These guidelines exist to keep that space safe and welcoming for everyone, across every fandom and genre.
2. Rate and tag your work
Every story should be tagged and rated accurately so readers can make informed choices. This means:
- Selecting an appropriate content rating for language, violence, or sexual content.
- Adding content warnings for sensitive topics (such as graphic violence, self-harm, or abuse).
- Tagging fandoms, characters, and pairings clearly.
3. What's not allowed
- Sexual content involving minors, in any context, real or fictional.
- Harassment, hate speech, or content that attacks people based on identity, such as race, gender, sexuality, religion, or disability.
- Plagiarism or posting someone else's work without permission or credit.
- Content that promotes self-harm, doxxing, or illegal activity.
- Spam, advertising, or content unrelated to fan fiction.
4. Respect other members
Comments and feedback should be constructive. Disagreeing with a story, pairing, or opinion is fine — targeting, harassing, or attacking another member is not.
5. Reporting a problem
If you see content or behavior that breaks these guidelines, use the report option on the story or profile, or reach out through our contact page. As a small, solo-run project, reports are reviewed personally rather than by an automated system or large moderation team — so it may take a little time, but every report is read.
6. What happens after a report
Depending on the severity, a violation may result in:
- A request to edit or correctly tag a story.
- Removal of the specific content in question.
- A warning, temporary suspension, or permanent ban for repeated or serious violations.
7. These guidelines will evolve
FanFicNow is still early and growing. These guidelines may be refined over time based on community feedback and real situations as they come up — the goal will always stay the same: a safe, inclusive space for fan creators.
